Village Hall Players

The Village Hall Players is a vibrant and dynamic touring theatre company serving Kyogle and surrounding districts in northern NSW.

Drama in a Rural Town - DIRT

DIRT is a theatre program for 8 to 16 year olds, facilitated by the Village Hall Players.

DIRT aims to ignite and nurture a passion for theatre and provide an opportunity for young actors to participate in a collaborative process while having fun, improving communication and team building skills.

Semitones Choir

Semitones Choir is a group of friendly locals who love to sing, we have 25 to 30 members who attend most rehearsals.

The choir holds a fundraiser concert each year with funds going to a Kyogle organisation that could use some financial help. We sell raffle tickets leading up to the concert and at the door.
They also hold a simple Family and Friends concert each year which is free, usually near Christmas or after New Year.

Get involved!

New members are always welcome. There is no audition, the only requirement is that you enjoy singing! The best time to join is soon after a concert so we can all start new songs together.

If you would like to join in, pop along to a rehearsal about 15 minutes early and speak to Fiona or another choir member.
Or you can give Martin a call on 0402 192 805.

When: Every Friday morning, 10am – 12pm

Where: Kyogle Memorial Hall usually or Kyogle Primary School communal hall from time to time if the KMI isn’t available

Cost: $5 for each session plus a $10 annual membership fee for the Kyogle Arts Council

Our songs can be quite challenging, sung in SATB 4-part harmony in many foreign languages. We do surprise ourselves sometimes by doing them reasonably well! Often the more challenging numbers become our favourites. So don’t be put off if feeling a bit daunted when starting out, we’ve all felt that way!

Kyogle Art Sessions

Kyogle Art Sessions is a twice-monthly gathering where artists of all abilities come together to create art, enjoy each others company and share some afternoon tea. A fun, artistic outlet for like-minded art enthusiasts!

They also use a private Facebook group where members share their weekly art efforts and any other art-related news..

The group has been approved to hold an exhibition at Roxy Gallery in December 2023 and are working towards art pieces to be included in the show.

The group started around Jul 2022 and had their first first three day art retreat on the mid north coast in June 2023. They sometimes have group outings to local galleries.
